The HERA Reference Book entitled Five years ahead of REACH was launched on the 17th of June at the HERA Sponsors' Committee in Athens. Clearly compatible with the aspirations of the chemicals policy, we believe that through HERAs five
years experience and its learnings of a risk-based approach we will provide an essential and practical tool in the
implementation of REACH . With the upcoming REACH debate well underway the HERA team felt it being important to share the key learning of this project, as it experimented and found solutions for many of the likely problems and situations that manufacturers and users of chemicals will face under the REACH registration process. The main aim of the book is to provide a quick reference and helpful hints on all aspects of chemical safety for manufacturers and users as well as for other groups or authorities concerned with this issue.
