The purpose of the HERA Guidance Document is to provide an instruction manual for the Substance Teams so that they are able to develop risk assessments in a manner which is consistent throughout HERA and as closely aligned as possible to existing EU risk assessment developments. The document now reflects aspects of the latest TGD on risk assessments of the EU, linkages with the developing REACH process and an amendment for cosmetic ingredients.

This updated version of February 2005 supersedes the prior edition of April 2002 which can still be requested at the HERA Secretariat by using the contact form on this site .
