Cefic (www.cefic.org), the European Chemical Industry Council, is the Brussels-based organisation representing national chemical federations, chemical companies and chemical sector groups of Europe. All together, Cefic represents, directly or indirectly about 30 000 large, medium and small chemical companies, which employ about 1.2 million people and account for 21 % of world-wide chemical production.
